TAS Marine

Maritime equipment, with 141 years behind it

We supply and support the equipment that keeps vessels running: vacuum and ejector systems, valves and flow control, ballast water treatment and onboard power. From the drawing board through to the spare part you need on a Friday afternoon.

A dedicated maritime house, not a department that also does ships

Tas & Company has served industry and shipbuilding since 1885. TAS Marine gives that maritime work its own name, its own people and its own front door.

The reason is simple. A shipyard buying an ejector package and a manufacturer looking for a Benelux representative both want to know the same thing: does marine get real attention here, or is it one line in a catalogue. It gets real attention. The difference is that behind that focus sits a company with 141 years of trading, its own service organisation and principal relationships measured in decades.

What we supply

Four lines that belong together on board. We engineer the selection, deliver it, commission it and keep it running.

Vacuum and ejector systems

Steam and water jet ejectors for vacuum, ballast, bilge and stripping duties. No moving parts, which is exactly why they stay in service for decades. We size them, supply them and hold the spares.

Valves and flow control

Valves and actuators, remote valve control systems, tank level and draught gauging, quick closing valves, anti-heeling and bunker alarm. The systems a chief engineer judges the whole yard by.

Ballast water treatment

Treatment and filtration systems for ballast water compliance, engineered into newbuild and retrofitted into existing tonnage.

Onboard power and electrification

Batteries, chargers, inverters and complete energy storage for hybrid propulsion, ship service power and shore connection. Lead, AGM, gel and lithium, chosen for the duty cycle rather than the brochure.

Who we work with

Different buyers, different moments, the same equipment.

Newbuild yards

Where the choice is actually made. We come in during engineering, when the specification and the maker’s list are still open, and stay involved through commissioning.

Refit and repair yards

Replacement, upgrade and compliance work under time pressure. Availability of the right part beats every other argument here.

Owners and operators

Deep sea, coastal and inland fleets. Planned dockings, class renewals and the retrofit work that comes with tightening emission rules.

Workboat and dredging fleets

Dredgers, tugs, port service craft and cutters. High running hours, so wear, replacement and hybridisation arrive sooner than anywhere else.

Service is the product

Equipment is bought once and supported for thirty years. That second part is where a distributor is actually judged, by owners and manufacturers alike.

  • Own service organisation, not an outsourced call centre
  • Spare parts held in stock in the Netherlands
  • Application engineers who size the equipment, not order takers
  • Commissioning, maintenance and overhaul across the lifecycle

The manufacturers we represent

We carry a small number of lines and know each one properly.

Backed by Tas & Company

TAS Marine is not a new venture with a new balance sheet. It is the maritime side of a company that has been supplying industry and shipbuilding since 1885, from Assendelft, with the same people answering the phone.

Tell us what is on the drawing board

A newbuild specification, a docking coming up, or a system that keeps costing you downtime. Our application engineers would rather talk about the duty than the datasheet.
